Family Day

Yesterday was International Families Day and we invited parents and whanau to spend some time with us as well as enjoy a yummy lunch.
A Big THANK YOU to all that joined us - we know the children really enjoy you coming to see what they do at Village Kids.

A special thanks to Sha'la's mum Dineel for reading a story to the children. She is an awesome story teller!

Red Puppy Day

 To show our support for the New Zealand Blind Foundation Guide Dog Appeal we held a "Red Puppy Day". The children helped to make puppy shaped biscuits and we made a coin trail shaped like a puppy.

On Friday we all dressed in red and brought along a coin for the coin trail.

Don't we look awesome in red! We raised $62.00 for the Guide Dogs - well done and a big THANK YOU to all our families for supporting the day.

Wheels Day!

Friday was wheels day and the children brought along their bikes, scooters, prams etc. They had a great day biking and scooting around.

Look what else we had! One of the staff brought in her stock car that she races and we all got to have a look around it and inside. It was cool.

Baking for Wheels Day

Friday is Wheels Day and  the children are going to bring some round (wheels) food to share for lunch.

We put the ingredients into the bowl

Then we mixed it together

We put the cup cakes into the tins

And filled them with our mixture! Can't wait to taste them on Friday.

Sammy the Shark

To celebrate Sea Week Sammy the Shark swum in for a visit.

He was careful not to get caught in the net!
